How to get to Banana Island
Banana Island is situated 40km south of Freetown, Sierra Leone. The closest point to cross to the island is Kent, but advanced note is essential for a boat to be sent on time. From Kent the boat trip takes 12′-25′ depending on the boat used.
Alternatively a speed boat shuttle can pick up guests from Aberdeen at Freetown.
Daltons Banana Guesthouse has 6 boats and provides various services from Kent, Tokeh, John Obey and other beaches up to Freetown and Lungi. From the Airport the easiest and more economic way is to pre-arrange a taxi drop off at Kent followed by a short boat ride. However the speedboat shuttle can pick you up from the jetty at Lungi Airport directly to Banana Island.
